Inside the House
Everything is authentic and the whole house, particularly the interior, enables you to breathe in the tranquillity of the past. When you first go inside, your eyes catch the light of the interior patio. You ascend a beautifully restored XVII century staircase that takes you through a long corridor or gallery, where Gill’s paintings are exhibited. If your room is off the old sun loggia, go up once again through an art nouveau door. Downstairs, in the Dining Room, you can discover what remains of the old stables. The Drawing Room, with its old Galician chimneypiece, combines old inherited antiques with comfortable sofas, where we invite you to a cup of tea on the house.
In the year 1991, Gill and Benito Batán rescued it from advanced dereliction. In the intervening period they have slowly restored it, authentically and lovingly, and now they want you to enjoy it too. Sample and appreciate its noble rural past. You are all made very welcome and no effort is spared to make you feel at home.
